Fullerton Business Service was established in 1954 to provide efficient, expert solutions to businesses and individuals in the north Orange County area. Our primary services include taxation (personal and business), accounting, and business consulting. We also offer a host of specialty services to cater to the unique needs of our clients. Our partners and staff accountants serve a wide range of individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts and are experts in the accounting issues and tax laws that impact our clients.
Our CPAs and accounting staff offer the benefits of years of experience. Having served the Fullerton area for so many years our firm is strongly connected to the community and its residents. In many cases, we boast three generations of clients from the same family.

Jeffrey Goodfriend, our principal CPA, has been in public practice since 1982, and he has provided expert accounting, tax, and business consulting services to hundreds of individuals and small businesses. In addition to expertise, Jeff prides himself on delivering affordable services in a timely manner with a personal touch. That’s why most of his new clients are referred by existing clients.
Partner Profiles and Staff
Jeffrey Goodfriend, Certified Public Accountant
Jeff joined Fullerton Business Service in 1990 and has been owner and managing director since 1997. Areas of specialization include individual, estate and trust, and corporate taxation and tax planning, and QuickBooks setup and use. He enjoys working with small business owners, and sharing the benefits of S corporations. His Bachelor’s degree is in business administration with a concentration in Accounting from Biola University in 1982, received his CPA Certification in 1985 and became a QuickBooks ProAdvisor in 2003. Prior to purchase of Fullerton Business Service, Jeff was an entrepreneur instrumental in building of a chain of 8 retail furniture stores. He started his career with the firm of Price Waterhouse in Los Angeles from 1982 until 1984 and then a small CPA firm in Orange County where he settled on his preference for helping small businesses. Personal activities include golf and basketball, coaching youth basketball, and personal investing.

Joel Netland, Certified Public Accountant
Joel is one of only three previous owners of Fullerton Business Service, having sold the practice to our managing director, Jeff Goodfriend, in 1997. He now lives in beautiful scenic Utah with his family. For Joel’s clients, he is available by phone call at any time throughout the year, and is normally in our office here in Fullerton from January to April. Joel is a graduate of Biola University and has been a California CPA since 1981. Joel is also a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and is still very much a mainstay in the daily workings of our practice.

Bill Schroeder, Certified Public Accountant
Bill joined Fullerton Business Service in 2003. Areas of interest include individual, partnership, and corporate taxation; payroll; non-profit organizations, & QuickBooks setup and use. Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from California State University, Fullerton in 1984 Master’s degree in applied computer science & technology from Azusa Pacifc University in 1999. CPA certification in 2005 QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2003. Member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Prior to joining Fullerton Business Service, Bill worked as a software engineer and as an airline pilot.

Carol Rittenhouse, Enrolled Agent
Carol has been with Fullerton Business Service for over 30 years, has been an Enrolled Agent here at our practice since 1987 and now enjoys being semi-retired! For the 2008 tax season, Carol was on a medical leave of absence, but rejoined her colleagues in the summer of 2009. In addition to her income tax knowledge, she also has extensive experience with payroll and sales tax returns.

Dalena Morris, Certified Public Accountant
Dalena joined Fullerton Business Serrvice in 2008, after returning to the work force from many years of family raising. She earned her BS in Accounting from California Lutheran College in 1983 and CPA certification in 1987. Dalena has been a valuable addition to our staff and clients.
