Since 1952, Fullerton Business Service has provided efficient, expert tax solutions to businesses and individuals in the north Orange County area. Our primary services include taxation (personal and business), accounting, and business consulting. We also offer a host of specialty services to meet the unique needs of our clients.
Our CPAs and accounting staff serve a wide range of individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts and are experts in the accounting issues and tax laws that impact our clients. Having served the Fullerton area for many years, our firm is strongly connected to the community and its residents. In many cases, we boast three generations of clients from the same family.

Jeffrey Goodfriend, our principal CPA, has been in public practice since 1982. He has provided expert accounting, tax, and business consulting services to hundreds of individuals and small businesses. Jeff prides himself on delivering affordable services in a timely manner with a personal touch. That’s why most of his new clients are referred by existing clients.
Partner Profiles and Staff
Jeffrey Goodfriend, Certified Public Accountant
Jeff, our principal CPA, joined Fullerton Business Service in 1990 and he became the owner and managing principal in 1997. Jeff’s areas of specialization include individual, estate and trust, corporate taxation and tax planning, and QuickBooks accounting system setup. He enjoys working with small business owners, and sharing the benefits of S corporations. Jeff graduated from Biola University in 1982 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration in Accounting. He received his CPA Certification in 1985 and became a QuickBooks ProAdvisor in 2003. Prior to purchasing Fullerton Business Service, Jeff was an entrepreneur and was instrumental in building a chain of eight retail furniture stores. He started his career in accounting with the firm of Price Waterhouse in Los Angeles in 1982. Later in the 1980’s he joined an entreprenurial CPA firm in Orange County where he settled on his preference for helping small businesses. Personal activities include golf and basketball, coaching youth basketball, and personal investing.
Tim Goodfriend, Certified Public Accountant
Tim joined Fullerton Business Service in 2010. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Biola University in 2011, and received his CPA certification in February 2014. In June 2017, Tim earned his Masters of Science degree in Taxation from California State University, Fullerton. Tim’s areas of specialization are individual and small business taxation, as well as small business accounting. Our long term goal is to transition Tim into the role of Managing Principal of Fullerton Business Service. Personal interests include golf and basketball.
Dusty Bruce, Enrolled Agent
Dusty has been preparing taxes for clients at Fullerton Business Service since 1976. He graduated with an accounting/finance degree from California State University, Fullerton that same year. In 1977, then owner, Bill Reynolds, asked Dusty to study for and take the IRS examination to become an Enrolled Agent. He did and has been an Enrolled Agent ever since. Dusty worked full time for FBS until 1984, when he joined his family’s Taco Bell franchise business as the CFO. He did that but continued providing income tax service to his FBS clients. Dusty has worked with some of his client for over 35 years. He continues to service his tax clients; working in the office from February through April, always available on his phone the rest of the year.
Dalena Morris, Certified Public Accountant
Dalena joined Fullerton Business Service in 2008, returning to the work force after years of raising a family. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from California Lutheran College in 1983 and received her CPA certification in 1987. Dalena has been a valuable addition to our staff and clients.
Bill Schroeder, Certified Public Accountant
Bill joined Fullerton Business Service in 2003. Bill’s areas of interest include individual, partnership, and corporate taxation; payroll; non-profit organizations, and QuickBooks setup and use. Bill earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton in 1984. He also earned a Master’s degree in Applied Computer Science and Technology from Azusa Pacific University in 1999. Bill received his CPA certification in 2005 and has been a QuickBooks ProAdvisor since 2003. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining Fullerton Business Service, Bill worked as a software engineer and as an airline pilot.
Joel Netland, Certified Public Accountant
Joel is one of only three previous owners of Fullerton Business Service, having sold the practice to our managing principal, Jeff Goodfriend, in 1997. He now lives in beautiful scenic Utah with his family and is transitioning into retirement. Joel is a graduate of Biola University and has been a California CPA since 1981.
